Biography: Nicola Grandy has been Secretary to the International Whaling Commission since August 2000. Prior to this she spent 10 years in the Environment Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris where she worked on chemicals management issues and five years working for the Water Research Centre in the UK. Dr Grandy has a BSc in Marine Biology, an MSc in Applied Hydrobiology and a PhD in marine oil pollution studies.
